If you've got video, we've got a solution. Lanterna Magica develops video logging and indexing systems and services for film and TV productions and for any type of organization that produces or distributes video.
Our flagship product, Reality, is designed for reality TV productions and other unscripted shows. Used on major North American productions, its real-time logging and instant access to video and descriptive content simplifies the selection of material and the editing process.
We've also developed an advanced Indexing Service, which allows producers and broadcasters to repurpose their video assets more efficiently.
Founded in 1999, Lanterna Magica started as a software developer on a number of third-party projects in North America and Australia, in particular developing an advertising campaign auditor, a post-synchronization system and a captioning system. In 2003, the company decided to devote its talents to developing its indexing, logging and search technology to help directors and producers tackle the challenges created by reality TV environments.
Now that the reliability, simplicity and ease of use of its technology have been proven on a number of productions using up to 39 cameras and generating millions of entries in an indexed database in a 24/7 environment, Lanterna Magica is launching a new rugged version of its solutions. This is another milestone in the company's quest to simplify the production workflow.
